M25 Digital Postal Scale is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from DYMO M25 is excellent I've been using the DYMO M25 for the better part of a year. I needed a scale that would weigh packages up to around 25 lbs. It does that very well, but is sensitive enough to weigh letters. Connected to a computer (I use a Mac) via USB and used with software such as InstaRate you can determine postage and even buy and print it, if you choose. Tech Support is excellent: in addition to phone and email, DYMO offers Chat, which I used very satisfactorily to find out about postage software, which is not mentioned in the User Guide. In sum, the DYMO M25 is a well thought out and designed postal scale, that is compact and easily stored and therefore accessible, that does what it is supposed to do very well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from New M25 postage scale I am disappointed that this unit did not come with a plug so that it could be plugged into an electrical outlet instead of through a USB port. Who wants to keep replacing batteries in appliances all the time? Can the model be adjusted to accommodate an electrical cord?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work for me I bought two of these, the first an open-box item at Amazon, then a brand-new one at Amazon. Both of them started refusing to turn on. The first one failed within 2 weeks. The second one failed within 10 days. It's not my computer because neither would work on a fresh set of batteries either. Great build quality but poor quality control. I would not buy again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Continually goes to sleep and won't turn back on I am using this with my new windows 8.1 so it may be 8.1 issues, but this scale continually goes to sleep and won't wake up. I have to unplug the usb and replug it in to wake it up. If I push the HOLD button to hold a weight for a larger package it goes to sleep and won't wake up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Postal Scale for weighing only Scale is good for just weighing pieces; however we really wanted the scale to also compute what the cost would be, as our previous scale which no longer is being updated by Pelouze. Disappointed in that aspect, but the scale is good otherwise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again and again I use this machine for just about everything, labels for files, shipping on boxes and envelopes and love the fact we can print postage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what we needed Thought the scale also gave postage cost but has weighing capabilities

Are the scales completely assembled?

The majority of scales are completely assembled. Some scales may require very minor assembly.

The dial I just installed rubs against the pointer. What should I do?

Check to see if the pointer has scratched the new dial. If it has, discard it and replace it with a new one. If not, remove it and reinstall the dial. Remove the dial and start over following the instructions provided.

The reading on my scale fluctuates, how can I resolve this?

The scale should be situated on a flat, level, and stable surface. The scale platform should be securely fastened to the scale sub-platform. The scale can be affected by electrical and RF (Radio Frequency) interference. Operation near power transmission lines is not recommended. Operation near appliances which switch on and off with heavy currents (letter openers, copiers, microwave ovens) is not recommended. The recommended operating temperature for the scale is room temperature (around 77 degrees Fahrenheit ). Allow the scale three hours to adjust to a the new climate if the scale was stored in a location a hot/cold environment. If the scale is to be operated in environments above or below room temperature, it is recommended that the scale be re-calibrated in that environment after a three hour adjustment period.
