FAQs

Question::

Can alkaline batteries be used with the Rhino series printers?

Answer::

The Rhino 6000 uses a motorized cutter which requires a reliable power source. The Rhino 4200 and 5200 have a manual cutter but DYMO recommends the use of alkaline batteries only as a backup option. Not all alkaline batteries are created equal - therefore they may not be a reliable source of power.

What barcodes are available in the Rhino series printers? Where are they most commonly used?

The following barcodes are available in the Rhino 4200 and RHINO 5200:
Code 39 Mod 43 - Various uses (a check digit is printed in the barcode, but not on the human readable portion).
Code 128 - Various uses; industrial applications like warehousing.
