Not The Dymo of Old
Having used a much older Dymo embossing label maker in the past, I decided to purchase a new one for myself as I was happy with the performance of the older model. What a disappointment this was. This new model can only handle 3/8 inch tape. The older model could handle both 3/8 and 1/2 inch tapes. This new model only comes with one wheel. The older model came with three wheels. This new model has terrible letter alignment and spacing. The older model had much better letter alignment and spacing. I get that embossing labeling is a tiny market these days, but Dymo clearly doesn't care a bit about their customers, or the quality of their product. You're getting much less for much more money, and the quality has dropped to zero. Quite sad really.

Easy to make and cute labels!
This makes adorable embossed labels! The Tapewriter was very easy to use and the labels it puts out are perfect for quick simple labels that will last. They have a great "stickiness" level - they haven't come off of anything I put them on yet and when I wanted to move or remove them I was able to easily. Label maker itself feels sturdy and well made.
A few tips for your first time - put a space before and after the words, and squeeze the handle firmly to emboss the letters but it really doesn't require all that much pressure and you get used to it very quickly.

I label everything!
I can’t get enough of my Office-Mate II Tapewriter. It is so perfect for right now being that we are having to do distant learning here at home with my son. It’s really easy to use and it comes with extra rolls of tape for all your label needs. I label bins with school supplies to make it easy for my son to find things. And even label random things around the house as site words for learning. The Office-Mate II Tapewriter can can be used any where like home or office. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends and family.

Works like a charm!
I love this tapewriter! Im able to use if for everything! I use it to put labels on my kids school supplies, Kitchen canisters, garage totes and many other objects around the house. It was really easy to put together and I started using it the first day. Im super impressed with how easy this tapewriter is to use and how nice the labels come out. This can be used in the office, at school or for pretty much anything. The labels come out easy, nice and clear

So handy
I had one of these in the 80's and it was great to find they are still being made! They are so handy to keep around as you can label things and mark things and it looks neat and tidy. I have labeled jars, folders, cabinets, anything the labels will stick to. I tried labeling a phone case which was plastic and it didn't stick very well, but it does stick well to pretty much any surface as long as you have cleaned it and dried it first. You can buy refills of different colors as well so you don't always have to have just the black color. It's easy to use, just rotate the wheel to the letter or symbol you'd like, squeeze the trigger to advance the label and when you are finished with your message, use the trigger to cut. Super simple
Super easy to use label maker. It is super simple to make your words the letters and numbers are labeled perfectly and there is a little notch so you can see what letter your on. Cuts clean and the writing is nice and brite

Works very well
This Office Mate embossing label-maker is awesome for neat-freaks who want to create old-timey labels and tags. I use them for everything from vinyl record dividers, to labeling inputs on an audio mixing board (I stick the label to magnetic tape so they can be moved around on the metal mixer). I also use these to label my manilla folders for invoices for customers and just regular bills. So far it has worked great with no issues, it is easy to load and makes a great label.

Easy to use!
The Office Mate II Tapewriter is a great product to have not only for business needs but also great for home needs. It is lightweight, and very easy to handle. It does come with a roll of embossing tape. Jam free tape cutter! We used this in my daughters room to label some of her storage boxes for school, and toys. We also used it to label storage spaces for nails, screws and such. Great for labeling crafting box supplies too!
