Great label printer shame about the software
Very good & versatile, unfortunately the D1 tape stopped being recognised on PC, tried uninstalling software, another USB port, don’t know what’s wrong with it & because the connect software is now so horrible to use I’m looking to replace with a handheld label printer. I’ve seen on another post the OG software is still available, unfortunately i have 2 Dymo printers, 450 Duo & 4XL, the OG software is no longer compatible with the 4XL. Whoever came up with the connect interface needs a good talking to, not user friendly & a nightmare to navigate. Someone decided to try & fix something that wasn’t broken, bring back the OG software that worked for all

Did someone get the 450 Duo to work "stable"
I am trying for MONTHS now to get this (otherwise great) printer to a working state. (was great until all the software mayhem started)
I see loads and loads of same complaints about the software with loads of bugs, incompatibility with Windows 10 (current release) and Windows 11 (current release).
So perhaps someone can advice a different brand of label-printer that does work (and has bit better software)
@Dymo support, when will there be a software release that will fix all the issues?
Having to buy a new printer will also create a bunch of waste since I have plenty of labels and tape in stock that I just will have to throw away.

Tape labels will not print
The tape label completely stopped printing on Windows 10 Pro. I contacted technical support and they sent instructions on how to uninstall and re-install. After following the directions, it worked normally for a week then went back to the same issue of not printing tape labels. I have followed the uninstall and re-install process four times, but I no longer use the label machine. I shouldn’t have to do this repeatedly for it to work. And for the money spent on the labeler, this is unacceptable. Would give 0 stars if possible. Dymo, get it together!

Nice Printer; the worst support
I have owned the Dymo LabelWriter 450 Duo for several years and until the last several months very satisfied with the software (Dymo Label Software) and printer. Now the Labelwriter has become useless. Dymo blames software updates to Windows 10 but in my experience with other device drivers companies normally come up with a durable fix in similar circumstances fairly quickly. The fix offered by Dymo is not durable and as useless as the printer. The new label software Dymo Connect is difficult to use and not intuitive compared to the ease of use of the previous software. Apparently Dymo is not terribly concerned about a remedy or customer satisfaction/loyalty. This certainly will affect future purchasing considerations.

Printer great. Software drivers seem very buggy
For some reason my DUO almost, all ways works with the label side, but I have to remove the printer and reset my computer for it to recognize the tape portion. In order to get the tape back, I unplug the USB, remove the printer in settings, then reset the computer. After boot finishes, I plug the USB in and then the Label V8 works with the tape but not the Connect software. Connect only shows the label printer. This is very frustrating as I don't want to go back to my Casio printers every time I want a tape print out.

Windows11 Issues - any updates?
Hi, was dancing with installing, configuring etc without any luck on Windows11.
Unfortunately I can not use any other machine on Windows10 and looks like with the latest windows 10 updates it's also failed. From other reviews I understood it's like not your problem but Windows11 issue. But are you really not able to do anything about this?

Windows 11 is not compatible with duo 450 printer
Duo 450 which I have had for a few years has a problem that sometimes it won't print. Rebooting the PC results in the labels that wouldn't print churning out in one go. I remember this now so if it won't print at the first go I reboot so as to not get loads of labels I won't use. Now I have upgraded to Windows 11 it won't print on the tape labels at all and the sticky paper labels are sometimes printed or sometimes not. I've upgraded the software and printer drivers. No change. I've contacted Dymo who say it is Windows. Contacted Microsoft who say to install the latest printer driver as it will be an issue with Dymo.
So now have a duo 450 printer and loads of labels I can't use. And I feel like a table tennis ball being batted between Dymo and Microsoft who are too busy blaming each other and therefore not sorting issue.
So now I bought some labels off ebay and use Avery to print lovely labels and use an old hand held printer to print tape labels. Is this good???

Unable install
My DYMO LabelWriter Due has worked flawlessly for seemingly forever; maybe 10 years now. I got a new Windows 10 machine and am told to install Dymo Connect. I tried 3 separate times and the printer is not recognized. I just want my old drivers back. The machine itself gets 5 stars; the software 0 stars.
