nearly impossible to use when changing rolls
At first this printer was working well, with occasional minor issues. In the past 1-2 years though, every single time I change the roll of labels they will not line up correctly and many labels are wasted in the tedious process of getting things right (at the moment I cannot get anything to print completely on the label at all). Things are cut off on one side and/or the top or bottom, the machine just won't cooperate despite turning it off/on, manually realigning everything, etc. Very frustrating and time consuming, and I would definitely go with another brand from now on. This was an expensive printer and I expected a lot more just 2-3 years from the time of purchase.

Worst Piece of Equipment I Have Ever Owned! Period
As someone who is rather tech savvy I wasn't too worried when my Dymo 4XL started having issues right out of the gate but after years of using this product I can honestly say it is the worst, most frustrating, time wasting, bad label spewing piece of hardware I have ever had the displeasure of owning.
Half the time it works ok, the other half of the time it:
- Spews countless blank labels (YES EVEN THE DYMO BRAND)
- Gets jammed up in the most ridiculous ways requiring complete disassembly and cleaning
- Shows "printer is offline" when it absolutely is not (and no its not some installation issue or problem with my USB cable, hub etc)
- Prints crooked labels
- Gets stuck half way through printing a label
and the list goes on...
If I had a dollar for every minute of time and frustration I have spent with this absolute joke I would be on a tropical island drinking Pina Coladas right now.

Buyer Be Aware
Loved, until they did an update that doesn't allow for generic labels (which are half the cost of course), so now when I print....I get blank labels, the printed label printed on two labels and then more blank labels...so 15 labels are now trash. You guys suck for doing this. Looking into a different printer.

Doesn't do anything
I send a print job to the printer and the job is removed from the queue but the printer never actually prints anything.
It is like Dymo forgot the single purpose of a printer.
When I called support they didn't care about the problem I was having, they only wanted to create a record in their CRM that I assume will be used to spam me for the rest of my life.
And for some reason you have to disable ad blockers to review their products.

Just hand write your labels.
This is a very delicate piece of machinery here. If you say something bad about it, it will spit out three blank labels with every printed one. If you say anything else about it, it will stop working all together. Has completely stopped working with Dazzle is now just a paper weight. Hardly any trouble shooting opportunity here. When it dies it just dies. Pony up another $400 to replace it in hopes it doesn't do the same thine..... you had one job Dymo. Make good label writers.......

Appalling Installation
I have tried installing on Windows 10 without success. The software installs, but there is no driver for the hardware. Here's a tip, Dymo: Give the product to your mother. Without giving her any instruction, see if she can get it working on Windows 10.
In reply to other reviews, it's suggested that the printer be connected directly to USB, without hubs or extensions. Try doing that when your computer only comes with a USB-C port and the cable provided is USB-A.

Doesn't work
Right out of the box it doesn't work... if you buy this product be prepared to find someone very tech savy to figure out what drivers go to what product... this problem is been happening since 2020...
FYI when it works it works and keeps working great it's just when you do a system update you will have to go through this nightmare again
