WretchedNo matter what cartridge I use, the printer reports that there is no cartridge inserted. Sometimes, If I press on the cartridge door in exactly the right spot, the cartridge will connect and print. Needless to say, this makes for very clumsy and unpredictable workflow. I can work around key or display issues, but a printer failure renders this unit useless. Based on the reviews I've read, this is a common problem. This is the second Dymo product that I've had that has failed to perform. How can you let these things out the door?

Great tool, doesn't lastI've had my XTL300 for about 2.5 years, probably printed about 125 labels with it. Fired it up today to print and it says it's "jammed" but there's no jam. Tried a new label cartridge, no luck. For how much this thing cost, that's about $2.40 a label. I will not by Dymo products personally, or for my company again.

Like tube printingGot printer 4 years ago did not use much disappointed it broke my other printers never broke after many years of service. Also bispointed they don't have both black and white on clear and in all size . Like to have labels that don't look like they're labels look like just printed.

works well when it did.... didn't last long.I have been using Dymo label printers for nearly 12 years. I have had several versions, and I have had the best luck with the Rino series.
I am now on my 2nd XTL printer in 3 years. The first one died on me just wouldn't power up. Seeing that I had a bunch of expensive tapes I purchased a 2nd one. Nothing but problems. I keep it in its travel case at all times. I also keep it in the cab of my truck, not loose flopping around the pickup box. I noticed in both printers that after a couple of months, something came loose in them and would rattle around. now it will no recognize any label cartridges, I've had to wedge a piece of bare copper wire for the contacts to touch in the printer next to the cartridge. The door doesn't seem to line up very well, (no broken hinges or anything...)
Now after a very frustrating day of trying to label some wire drops, I've decided to come on here and vent!
The bottom line is this, I would not recommend this printer. I would however recommend the Rino printer, that one was solid!
